Google continues to send data from EU websites to the US - despite two Court of Justice rulings. Austrian Data Protection Authority could fine Google up to €6 billion

Interesting article from noyb.eu. Such enforcement would change the landscape drastically. Defense from Google is laughable.

Thoughts?

Finally! They know they can get away with anything.
This is finally an actual motivator to respect the law.

Next time they do it the fine should be even higher.

I’m really curious to see that situation unfold. I personnally think that big companies need to be shakened up to take serious action to respect GDPR, and not just hide behind text walls.

I remember having a conference with one of the great manager of Google Belgium, who could answer all of our questions regarding security, but none about transparency. He stated that he will get back to us, it was 3 month ago. Still waiting.
